Skyless Moon, our West Flanders inspired red-hued ale makes its return in time for tail end of the colder, festive season.
It was built, some time ago, with a grist of specialty malts for deeper malt character and the long aging process bound within in oak barrels. The resultant beer spent almost a year in American Oak until it was ready to be blended and transferred into stainless steel for rounding. We then bottle conditioned the chosen blend for several months with the addition of fresh yeast and fermentables for that impossible to replace character derived from refermentation under pressure.
Skyless Moon pours reddish-brown, with aromas of cranberry, dark currant, and slight cocoa baking powder. We taste dried cherry, fig, fresh cranberry, sweet cherry jolly rancher with a medium-high acidity for an overall juicier feeling finish. 6% ABV
