Aventinus, the world's oldest wheat-dopplebock, has recieved accolades for the perfect balance of fruity spiciness (banana, clove, vanilla) and notes of chocolate. In addition, this beer has demonstrated wonderful aging potential with soft aromas and flavors of chocolate, port and sherry when matured for three years or more. Definitely not as sparkling as a young Aventinus - a full bodied beer to be enjoyed after a good dinner from a bowl glass.
Therefore, Georg VI. Schneider decided to start aging a limited number of cases of Aventinus every year in the brewery's historical natural ice cellar with each batch held for a minimum of three years.
Please enjoy it now or hold on to it in your own cellar for futher development...if you can handle the wait.
